PLANTNET
Hi everybody, I'm going to speak about PlantNet, an
app for Smartphones and IOS, that I used to discover a lot of new plants that I see in the
practice excursions of my career.
PlantNet is a tool of collection, annotation and
retrieval of images to identify plants. It was developed by a consortium made up
of scientists from CIRAD, INRA, INRIA, IRD, and the Tela Botanica network under
a project funded by the Agropolis Foundation. The link is:

I really like this app, I worked really well with my cell phone
and scissors to collect native plants of Chile to complete a Biotics activity
known as “Herbal”, It consisting in cut a sample of a tree or bush of our country
to press it to conserve parts of a plant to study his characteristic and observe the fruits of each plant to help recognize better.
I always used this app when I went out to street and I saw trees or
bushes, but since started the pandemic and the quarantine, I don´t used
PlantNet because is not necessary to do homework’s and I lost interest for to
explore more plants, It's so sad, but someday I will to download this app
again!
I hope I can use it too, it looks very good!
